I focus my work on helping clients achieve pain-free movement for life. My methods confer and relate across disciplines I have studied and observed for as many as 24 years. My particular niche has organically drawn clients who are post-rehab to return to their sport; individuals interested in productive aging training, and pre- and postnatal athletes. As a certified personal trainer, I provide specialized training in strength and conditioning, myofascial release, posture restoration coaching, geroprotective or senior exercise, mindset/lifestyle coaching, and nutrition coaching. I’m honored to have served everyone from complete beginners to professional athletes.

Degrees, Certifications & Experience

I currently hold a BS. in Biology from Cornell and previously worked in the field of public health and infectious disease on the African continent. Upon returning to the U.S., I embarked on another journey, transforming my passion for exploring the mind-body connection into a career as a Certified Personal Trainer, Corrective Exercise and Post-Rehabilitation Specialist, Myofascial Release Instructor, Qi Gong instructor, and Aikido instructor. As a dedicated student, I continually improve and expand my knowledge of physical fitness and wellness to deliver the most effective training program. I’m trained in Functional Movement Systems and Kinstretch, and I'm a NASM-certified specialist in senior fitness, strength, conditioning, speed and agility training, as well as nutrition coaching. I draw from years of experience as a competitive athlete in individual, team, and equestrian sports, CrossFit, and even bodybuilding. You’ll also find that my decades of experience studying and teaching martial and meditative arts greatly inform my work.

When I’m not training clients or working with patients, you’ll likely find me studying, working towards my doctorate. If it’s the weekend, you may find me out on the pitch or in the gym training the San Diego Barracudas women’s and men’s teams, or volunteering with Promise2Kids. If time allows, I’m out in the wilds of the world. I enjoy surfing, climbing, and trail riding, or I am just as likely to be sitting poolside (poorly) strumming my ukulele with my furry companion or playing with the many forms of dance.
